Park Tae Hwan sets a new record!!!

…And he brings home 3 gold medals!!

At the 2012 New South Wales (NSW) State Open Championships held at Sydney, Australia, Park Tae Hwan won three gold medals- in 200m, 400m, and 1500m freestyle. We all knew he was a BEAST at the 400m, but who knew he would be winning GOLD in all three? Yeah sure, this isn’t the Olympics and it’s not like he competed with every swimmer from all over the world, but STILL. Moreover, he set a new Korean record in the 1500m race, finishing at 14.47.38. Looks like he’s on fire this year, and hopefully we’ll be able to hear more good news at the London Olympics! But he says he’s not planning to swim the 1500 at London, and I guess that’s reasonable. He’s not really a long distance swimmer, and it would be smarter for him to focus on his 400m and 200m:)

Can’t wait for the London Olympics!!

So proud to have him represent KOREA<3
