Kung Hei Fat Choy!

Hey Sophomores!

KUNG HEI FAT CHOY! (That’s what people in China say during Lunar Break)

I hope you guys have been enjoying your 4-day holiday! Hopefully, you guys weren’t stuck in hagwon or studying!!! Now that school is tomorrow, make sure to change your brains to school-mode (by tomorrow at least)! Time flies and we only have a month or so before our third quarter ends so study hard these next few weeks! Luckily we have our spring break coming up…but thats not until the end of March. Until then, fightinggggg and get ready for your report cards (they’re coming your way!!!)

Happy New Lunar!!

Sure, we are already well into 2012, but for some people around the world, it has only just begun. I guess most of us will be going off to our grandparents’ place, eating nice food, receiving money from relatives…:) Maybe I’ve only just realized this, but we have so many holidays in Korea, where we get to see our relatives. Chuseok, New Years, Lunar… We’re given ample opporunities to visit our family, but unless they live close by, it doesn’t quite happen most of the time. I’ve only seen my cousins once since I came to Korea, and I haven’t even seen some of my aunts and uncles yet… But I remember the last time I went to a family gathering, that included more people than just my mum and dad, and it felt nice to be with people that were your family. They were people I shared blood with, and even though I hadn’t seen them for a couple of years, we could still feel like we shared a bond. I guess that’s just what family is:)

Hope you guys get to spend a part of your lunar with your family, (not at SAT hagwons, even though SATs are just around the corner…) and enjoy the extra long weekend everyone!!:)

7 Most Annoying Things…

As I was surfing through the internet, wondering what I could possibly write about today, I came up with this. Little things that annoy you in everyday life. It seems like it’s been going around the net, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you guys have seen this before.

I think I’ve done at least one of those and god, I know what that feels like. Though I have to say, the egg one is pretty extreme…Who buys that many eggs anyway?;) And I haven’t personally tried the specific ice cream before, I’ve tried to split the ssangssang bar (쌍쌍바) into perfect two, but so far, I’ve never succeeded.

Hope you guys had a little laugh over some of the pictures, and I kind of feel sorry for whoever had to take the picture…:)

Enjoy your second week back at school!!

WELCOME BACK TIGERS!

Welcome back Tigers!

We’ve been out of school for quite a while and I think that most of us are out of shape (mentally). Though this week has been a bumpy week (filled with excessive sleeping in classes and not focusing on school), we’ve made it through!!! However, now that one week has passed, we should slowly start getting in shape (mentally and physically).

Now that we’re back in school, this means that the thing that we have been dreading about is coming…yes, our REPORT CARDS. I hope that everyone worked hard the first semester and is proud of what they got! If you didn’t, this is a new year and a fresh start, so you can start working hard NOW (it’s not the end of the world)!

But before my welcome back post gets too depressing, I’ll leave my post with another Welcome back Tigers! Let’s make the best out of 2012!

Winter BREAK!!

Whop whop! Yeap, it’s that time of year. School’s finally over, (for the next three weeks at least,) and we now have our long deserved break. Well, some of us do. Seniors are probably going to be sleeping in all day, catching up on movies- happy that their apps are finally done. Juniors- not so much. We’re probably going to be spending all  day in SAT hagwons, cramming our heads with 200 SAT vocab per day. Yea, fun life. Maybe the same goes for some hardcore sophomores. For you freshman, just enjoy your winter break. Please.

But, on a happier note, it IS our winter break, and yesh, we do not have any quizzes/assignments/homework/tests for the next 3 weeks:) And hopefully for some of us, we’ll be hitting the ski resorts…;)

Hope all of you have  wonderful winter break, and…

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
